About the Role
Key duties of the Warehouse Operative include collecting appliance stock from our suppliers, taking delivery of shipments, checking goods for damage or missing items and storing warehouse goods in an organised manner. You will also ensure orders are packaged and labelled correctly to prevent returned orders. The role is busy and physically demanding and requires proficiency in completing delegated tasks and handling stock.
Key duties and responsibilities of the Warehouse Operative include:
Stock Collection from Suppliers
Scrap and recycle loading and unloading
Loading and unloading delivery vehicles
Handling of all in bound and outgoing appliances and materials of the warehouse
Checking for damaged or missing items and then sorting stock for storage in the warehouse
Taking goods to the appropriate storage space
Picking orders from the storage space and bringing them for packing, or to the loading bay for transportation
Maintaining tidiness and cleanliness of the warehouse
Following workplace health and safety rules
Appliance installation support
Efficiently completing all activities delegated
Requirements
Skills and personal specifications of the Warehouse Operative
Full UK Driving Licence
Should be physically fit and have the ability to lift heavy materials
Should have the ability to competently and efficiently manage time and complete assigned work
Should be a team player and have the ability to coordinate with fellow workers
Attention to detail and excellent communication skills
Experience of working in a warehouse environment would be good but not essential
